As you can see from the right side picture, Angaga looks beautiful, due to the white sandy beaches around the island. maldives_islands_resorts_angagau_on top.jpg (15355 bytes)Considering to the size of the island 50 bungalows are quiet good, and these are individually built, thatched roofed bungalows.

Due to the change in the new management in February 2001, Angaga has changed the tiles of the rooms, fixing new air-conditions, still the island is upgrading here and their. And as per our estimation from 2002 onwards the island should be considered among the best four star resorts of Maldives. Thus they are coming up with a new tennis court.

The main reason why we have chosen Angaga for a snorkeling resort is because of the great reef, where three fifth of it is almost adjacent to the beach, giving easy access for snorkeling; and the other half is a huge light blue lagoon with a sandy bottom and excellent for water sports. Not to mention, Anagau has almost all the water sports, excluding parasailing, jet skii and banana riding.

Though Angaga is good for snorkeling and Angaga Thila (dive site) is close-by; we can't recommend Angaga as a dive destination. Due to the slow movements of the dive centre's boat trips, and the lack of great dive sites close-by.

Unlike any other island of Maldives, Angaga has plentiful of coconut trees with  huge number of bushes. However, we may a bit hesitate to say that the all the buildings are well designed. Nevertheless the guest area has thatched roofs, with airy open doors and quiet attractive, since most of the products are local.

Once you get onto the jetty, you will see the double-decker-roof of the Dolphin-bar and restaurant. These guest area roofs are designed to show the shell of a turtle, from outside. And when you are inside you may think that they are hulls (upside down). Surely you will feel the sense of a tropical Angaga, because of the white sandy floor, with comfortable bamboo seats with cushions in it. Restaurant tables are decorated maximizing full privacy, and offering more space for the Honeymooner's - who are treated very specially in Angaga.

The food is good, and all three meals are on buffet, at times you may not get much varieties. In over all, you could get a full stomach.

maldives_islands_resorts_angagau_room inside.jpg (12405 bytes)maldives_islands_resorts_angagau_room front.jpg (14240 bytes)The rooms are almost same in size, design, with a bit of a dull color. Thus each of the rooms has a bathroom with a small open area and a veranda with a swing (hardly you could see a traditional swing in a resort). Air-conditions and tiles are totally new. Also, now they have added a small fridge. Angaga is a competitor of NIKA Island in "Private Beach" wise. Thus each bungalow has its own beach front.

Other activities include, Angaga's Maldivian nights, where traditional dances such as "Bodu Beru" are freely available. Also, excursions to neighboring uninhabited and inhabited islands are available, with fishing trips.

There’s something for everyone at Angaga. Angaga takes the pride in offering personalized service to all of their guests. So, spoil yourself, take a visit for a combination of ………………………Paradise!
