Dhonveli Beach &
Spa, formerly known as Tari Village. This island has improved a lot. Main
complexes and villas/rooms are rebuilt and a modern concept has been brought
onto the island. For some of our guests the island itself is not much attracted
- but the services and facilities are reasonable. If you have any

As a palm-fringed, dream-beach
resort it is second to just about every other island of Maldives; as a
wave-surfing it is second to none. And to this the easy like-minded people
and you have the recipe for a great holiday. The surf is at its best during
the south-west monsoon (the low season). Owing to the shape of the reefs
there are a number of waves that are frequest and perfectly formed. Pasta
Point is said to be world class and is just 20 metres away from the CoBar. |

The island itself is frankly
unattractive with messy walls, vegetation, beaches and open spaces. But the
central area around the bar, restaurant and aquarium pond is pleasant:
neatly swept, attractice and shady under tall coconut palms. The large,
curving beach has relatively course sand and the lagoon is terribly shallow
(the upside to this is that it is safer for children). |

The bar is well stocked, the
restaurant serves good food (all buffet), the staffs are friendly and so are
the other guests. |

The guests over here are an
add by amicable mix of Australians, Italians and Japanese. The average age
is higher and families are most welcome. |
