Crow's Nest

Inspired by lifeguard towers, this colourful wooden structure offers guests a thrilling climb up a spiral staircase to two lofty platforms with panoramic views of the island. At the first level – half way to the top – there are rope ladders and rope swings for families to play around or just enjoy the shaded spot. Head further up to the top and discover a cozy den with cushions and throws creating the ultimate chill-out nest – one of the most-photographed vantage-points on the island! You’ll also find a pirate’s treasure chest filled with objects to entertain – a telescope, playing cards and binoculars – and even an honesty box for readymade cocktail drinks: help yourself to miniature bottles all concocted with a rum base.

Every day promises new adventures at the Wavy Navy Kids’ Club, a dynamic and safe space where children are welcomed as very special guests. Villa Nautica’s unflappable team is here to inspire little ones to use their wildest imagination and get creative, while more energetic children play pool games, go on island tours, build sandcastles and make new friends. The daily programme ensures a relaxing time for every child.

For little adventurers who need to be kept busy and safe while parents take much-needed time out, every day holds a fun-filled opportunity at the Wavy Navy Kids’ Club.

Children get special treatment in this wonderfully dynamic space and can enjoy a host of creative activities and educational games for kids up to the age of 12. Older, energetic children swim in the kids pool, build sandcastles or hop on an island tour. And when they’ve had enough time in the sun, little ones use the ‘nap lounge’, a peaceful cocooning space. Face painting is a wonderfully therapeutic and calming activity done by talented artists who inspire little ones to use their wildest imagination while being transformed into their favourite characters and animals. Or take part in traditional Maldivian children’s activities: coconut leaf weaving sessions, shell collecting (starts at the Kids’ Club beach area), shell craft and paper origami. For budding artists, they offer programmes on hand printing and paper collage. Older kids love going exploring on the island tours or building sandcastles – a favourite with energetic kids who are on-the-go all the time.
